Nurturing Peace

In a world where love and solace are scarce,
Each soul battles unseen wars, seeking a place.
Some on battlegrounds, some in peace talks' stride,
Ironically, we pray for the war's tide to subside.

If only we extend our hands, aiding one another,
Unbiased by wealth or colour, as kin, we discover.
In the Creator's gaze, all stand on equal ground,
Differences sown by those who wish discord abound.

Let's walk the lanes of truth and empathy's light,
Guarding our minds, preserving our inner might.
With humility, we honour our Earth's gentle mirth,
Deeds of selflessness, not riches, gauge our true worth.

So well put. I read this phrase somewhere that, “Peace is not beneficial for business and politics”
Your poem also reminded me of the recent attack by Iran on Israel and how it will unfold now. #sigh
